Learning Support
St John the Baptist Catholic School provides a caring, nurturing environment in which every student is recognised as an individual with unique strengths.
St John the Baptist Catholic School provides a caring, nurturing environment in which every student is recognised as an individual with unique strengths. We genuinely value and nurture each child. We believe every student deserves the opportunity to access all aspects of the curriculum at a level of challenge that is appropriate for them.
The Living Learning Leading Framework is essential for guiding our approach in Catholic Education. It defines who we are, what we value, and how we
collaborate with families to help students flourish. This framework underpins every aspect of our work, ensuring that our students acquire the knowledge, skills, and attributes necessary to succeed in an ever-changing and complex world.
At the core of our framework is a deep commitment to our students and a recognition of the inherent potential in all individuals. We view our students as "thriving people, capable learners, leaders for the world God desires."
We understand that each child has unique learning styles and needs. Within each classroom, there exists a wide spectrum of learning abilities. By continuously collecting and analysing student achievement data, we can identify those who require learning interventions or extensions, ensuring they receive the appropriate tiered level of support.
Learning Enrichment Team
Our Learning Enrichment Team is composed of the Deputy Principal, Leader of Learning, Inclusion and Diversity Coordinator, and a dedicated group of Education Support Officers.
We collaborate closely with classroom teachers, allied health professionals, and parents to develop Personal Plans for Learning (PPLs) tailored to support students with specific learning needs.
